It wasn't a mistake...
Of course, I knew it wasn't. But I had hoped. And hoped and hoped and hoped that it was all an awful mistake.

How do you help a friend who is going through something as awful as this? I know there is nothing I can say and nothing I can do but yet, I want to do something. I want to say something. Anything. But there just aren't any words...

Praying for a dear friend...
We returned late Saturday evening from our house hunting trip to Connecticut. (no houses found btw) Sunday evening, I was reading my mommy message board and stumbled upon some horrific news. At first it didn't make sense. I wondered what the hell people were talking about. As I continued reading, I started to feel sick to my stomach.

I checked her blog... and there in black and white were the words I had so hoped weren't going to be there. Confirmation of what I was hoping with all my heart was not true. My dear, sweet friend, who has already been through so much, had lost yet another baby. : ( Almost exactly a year after her second son was stillborn. : (

I sat there staring at the screen, thinking there must be some mistake. This just couldn't be true. HOW could this be true? HOW could this be happening? This couldn't be happening. This isn't right. It isn't fair. It totally FUCKING SUCKS!

I hate this. I am absolutely heart broken for her. I am so sorry for her and her family. I can't imagine how they are all doing right now. I can't imagine how much they are hurting. I feel sick to my stomach. I seriously feel sick. Oh please God, let there be some sort of mistake.

What we ordered....

What was received....

Can you believe it????
Now, I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with the second bouquet. It's just NOT what we ordered. It looks nothing like the first bouquet! I was seriously shocked when Phil showed me this picture he took.
I called and complained and they said they are going to refund my money (only after I insisted on speaking with the manager btw) which is nice but....
I still don't see how they can think this would be an acceptable substitution?
Oh and I should add, that I paid for the biggest one too. You know, they have small, medium and large?
Arg!!!!

Okay! That's it!! (and I mean it this time!)
I am getting this blog back on track. (and starting to visit my buddies blogs again as well ; ) ) Even if for no other reason but to prove my dear husband wrong. ; )

So.... I'm going to be on the hunt for a new template again. And you all know how well that went over last time. LOL

I can't believe that we will be moving in two short weeks. Wow! It's really going by sooooo fast. I'm excited but also a bit sad. I really love Virginia. I'm going to miss it. :: sigh :: I thought for sure that Phil and I would retire here. It's such a lovely place to live. Well, except for the traffic but we won't go there for now. ; )

In any case, I am SO excited about our future. I am so excited to see where God leads us. I know we have an amazing journey still ahead of us.

Stay tuned!!!!

Holy moly...
has it been a LONG time since I've found my way to this page. :: blushing :: I swore I wasn't going to be one of those people who just disappear and let their blog die and well, look at what happened. ; )

I have no intention of letting the blog die. I guess I just need to get back into the habit of blogging again. Now that my smart ass husband has hacked my blog, I suppose this is as good of time as any to get back to it. : )

So, so much has happened in our life since I last posted. Without posting a book here, I'll sum it up for you:

We were blessed with our sweet baby boy, Joseph Abraham on February 3rd. (Birth story to come one of these days. :: blushing again :: lol) He is just the sweetest thing ever!!! We are so incredibly happy. : ) Pics to come as well! : )

Phil decided to go ahead and start submitting his resume to various corporations in hopes of landing a nice cushy cooperate job....

After lots of resumes mailed, several interviews and lots and lots of prayer, he was offered and accepted a job with GE in their newly created patent department in Wilton, Connecticut. He starts on May 22nd... let the fun begin! Yep, for those following us on our journey, this will make move number THREE in one short year. Ack! The only thing that keeps me from crying is I don't have to go look for boxes this time. :: whew! ::

Other than that, things are about the same...

I'll post more regularly from here on out. : )

Apparently. Dana died on February 2, shortly after posting her last entry. That is the only reason I can think of that she wouldn't post for more than two months.

RIP PistolPackinMama.

Time to update... Don't get excited! lol
I'm still here. :: sigh :: My ob appointmnet on Monday went as I expected. I hadn't dilated any more, blah, blah, blah... so I canceled my induction and rescheduled it for next Tuesday. (They don't like to go past 41 weeks) Please, please, please let me go into labor on my own prior to that. ; )

I've spent the rest of the week trying not to freak out that I'm having ZERO signs that labor is near. : (

Last night, the baby dropped. Actually, I think he may have dropped a couple of days before that but last night he started to feel really low and I started getting sharp stabbing pains in my pelvic area. I went to bed early in hopes that I would wake up in labor.

As you can see, that didn't happen. LOL

So, that's it here. Sorry this blog has been so boring lately. I'll try to think of something interesting to post about later today. ;)
